Phonics is an international method that helps children learn to read in a very short time.Most education institutes in Sri Lanka have now started using this method.
Living and teaching in Japan has helped me understand the country’s high‑quality, structured teaching methods. In my phonics lessons, children learn:
🌈 We learn all 42 letter sounds.
🔡 Children practice letter identification by matching each letter to its sound.
💙 We explore digraphs like sh, ch, th, ph, and wh to read new words easily.
✨ Long vowel sounds.
⭐ Tricky words are practiced to improve reading fluency and confidence.
